Carpet Pro Model CPU-2T: A funny story of how I met my Vacuum.

Carpet Pro Model CPU-2T: A funny story of how I met my Vacuum.

Choosing a vacuum for your home can be a daunting task, given the sheer amount of name brands and types out there.  We have all seen those really cool Dyson commercials, narrated with a European accent, and we were compelled to ditch our bagged vacuums for newer, trendier bagless vacuum’s, that glides effortlessly around table legs and book shelves.  I was one of those people too! But I had no idea if a bag-less vacuum would be a benefit or not.  To a layperson, one may conceive, as I did, that going bag-less would be a convenient alternative to buying bags all the time.  This may be a good choice for some people, but for me, I’m not letting go of my bags just yet!  You can research the mechanism of a bag-less vacuum, which is very similar to the way bagged vacuum works.  According to How Stuff Works, a janitor by the name of James M. Spangler invented the modern, bagged vacuum in 1907.  Through the years, vacuums have evolved into the heavy weights you see today like Dyson, Hoover, Carpet Pro and Fuller Brush, among others.  As with a bagged vacuum, bagless vacuums draw in air through an intake valve. However, once your carpet's dirt and dust is inside the vacuum chamber, centrifugal force is used to separate particles from the airstream. These particles are flung outward against the chamber wall, falling into a collection cup as the air leaves the chamber and exits the vacuum through an exhaust port. Aside from the mechanics of the differing dust-collection methods, bagged and bagless vacuums are otherwise similar.

I kept researching which was the best vacuum brand to buy, bagged or bag-less and found the answer, to my surprise, at Church.  No, it was not divine intervention, more simply, a sound, or lack there of.  I was making a delivery at a local Church in Houston, as I walked past the Chapel into the Church offices, I heard a very soft “hmmmmmmm” sound that emanated from the middle office with the light turned on, across from the gift shop.  I needed someone to sign for my delivery so I crept closer to the office.  To my surprise, a very nice older lady was, vacuuming her office.  I knocked and said “Wow, I had no Idea that’s what you were doing!, that thing is very quiet.”  Given, at this point, I’m in her office and the hum turned into a small air suction sound, but nothing like the sounds I’m used too.  (My old vacuum was so loud, you can tell I’m cleaning the carpets if you are in my back yard and I have all my doors and windows closed)  She replied “Oh yeah, had this thing for years, never gave me any trouble.”  It also helped that the vacuum was a bright yellow color with it’s brand name across the front saying “Carpet Pro”.  She had the Carpet Pro Model CPU-2T (the best Model and Bang for your buck, as I soon found out).  It was a Commercial Unit, looked very heavy duty, and was relatively quiet.  I told her I was in the market for a new Vacuum and she immediately looked at me with a sparkle in her eye, the same sparkle a sales man would get and said “Well I’m so Glad you’re here! , I’ve been so excited with this one I bought a few years ago.” She took her glasses off and said “Come here, I want to show you something”, as she exited her office.  I heard a soft voice in the hallway, saying “Bring the vacuum, you don’t have to unplug it”.  Me, being the nice Texas Boy I am, delightfully said “Yes ma’am” and did as I was told.  I followed her into a larger break room down the hall, there she went into closet and brought back a medium sized white box and placed it on the break room table, which was the Carpet Pro 7 pieceattachment set 05.119 . She said “I’ve kept this church clean all of these years, even the dust on the top there doesn’t stand a chance”, pointing to the fluorescent light fixtures atop the ceiling, as she ruffled through the box.  In a snap, she pulled a 15 foot blackattachment hose and assembled it to a extendable wand attached to a 10inch widebare floor tool with horse hair brushes.  She proceeded to tell me “Now you can vacuum the tiles”, pointing to the hallway, “ and all of the spider webs up there in the corners”.  Now this was turning into a full-blown demonstration of Carpet Pro Vacuum, a presentation I did not mind watching, as she effortlessly extended the Power Wand up the side of the wall.

After a few more demonstrations with the other attachments, I hear the office phone ring and we said good bye to each other and I left with a slip of paper with the carpet pro model number CPU-2T.   That same week, I purchased my Carpet Pro vacuum online along with one package of replacement bags (Bag # 6.153) , which is a pack of 3.

This Carpet Pro CPU-2T is amazing! I definitely love the HEPA air filtration, the air that is spit back into the room feels and smells fresher.  I use the 7 piece attachment set to clean my tiles downstairs and just regular vacuum on the upstairs carpet.  Vacuuming the stairs is a breeze with the crevice tool.  Over all, I’ll keep my vacuums bagged and I’m extremely satisfied with my new Carpet Pro CPU-2T.

The things I do for Treats...

This is me , Skarsgard.

I'm very happy here @ Central Appliance Parts!  They give me treats from the refrigerator whenever I do tasks well, like writing this blog.  I always wonder how refrigerators keep their cool so well, every time those big Stainless doors open, I would wag my tail and wait there because I know i'm fixin to get something tasty!

But I know opening and closing the fridge all the time can cost my parents quite a bit of money on their electric bill.  So heres some awesome advice.  Use a General Electric PM14X51 Refrigerator Coil Cleaning Brush to clean those dusty clogged coils back there.

It looks like thisAnd you can chew on it too!

The top half is bendable too, so you can get into all the nooks and cranny's with ease.  It doubles as Dryer Vent cleaner as well (every dog knows pilled-up lint is a family fire hazard).

So do yourself a favor, en dour the labor, and save yourself some Money!

Until next time my friends!
